Position Summary

Warner Bros. Discovery is looking for an experienced Staff Product Manager to help envision, prioritize, communicate, and oversee HBO Max product strategy and execution for the cohort of customers with access to HBO Max through 3rd-party partnerships.

In this key role, you will collaborate with global and regional business stakeholders (Distribution, Partner Marketing, Strategy) and a cross-functional team (Design, Engineering, Technical Program Management, Account Management) with the goal to remove friction and pain points related to activation, onboarding, and partner commerce integrations and to drive overall market penetration and customer engagement across our portfolio of supported devices and platforms.

We are looking for strong leadership and collaboration both within WBD and with external partners, including digital partners and cable affiliates that offer HBO Max subscriptions. You are an effective cross-functional team leader who can envision, get buy in for, and drive the successful implementation of initiatives that span multiple teams. You have strong product sense and problem-solving skills, as well as proven success with experimentation and deep data analysis. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and influencing without authority. You know what good – and great – looks like.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate product vision for key elements in the partnership area.
  • Lead product discovery, collaborating with research, customer support, and product design teams to unearth customer problems.
  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert on product partnerships. Stay current on emerging trends and competitive analysis.
  • Produce product requirements that balance business goals with a strong focus on customer experience.
  • Develop, communicate, and measure objectives and key results.
  • Define, execute, and analyze experiments validating customer problems and experience improvements.
  • Collaborate with product designers and external partner teams to develop best-in-class, end-to-end user flows.
  • Serve as the point person in engagements with external partners that require product expertise and a customer experience advocate.
  • Be the customer expert: identify and solve customer problems; be fully knowledgeable of pain points and develop plans to address. Identify opportunities to drive down customer support contacts.
  • Own continuous reporting on performance, including post-product release impact reports that lead to actionable plans for further optimization.

 Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience
  • Detailed knowledge of popular subscription streaming services and the competitive landscape with a particular focus in the APAC region
  • Proven success leveraging data and trends to develop a strong point of view
  • Skill in crafting concise and customer-centric PR/FAQs, PRDs, and product vision documents with a compelling narrative
  • Excellent presentation skills, demonstrating the ability to tailor content for the audience, including senior leadership; comfort representing the larger team
  • Experience launching and operating products and features for a global audience
  • Experience with multivariant testing methodologies; highly skilled in using data to inform product decisions
  • Experience developing consumer-facing experiences across multiple platforms (e.g., web, mobile, connected TVs and set-top boxes)
  • Ability to adapt rapidly in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities
  • Strong ownership to ideate and deliver exceptional customer experiences while meeting business needs
  • Experience working with external partners
