This position is part of the Agency Force Protection, Government Publishing Office in Washington, District of Columbia.

Major Duties:

  • Schedules meetings for the Chief of Police.
  • Prepares routine correspondence such as emails and the annual correspondence for agency credit card use.
  • Submits requests for personnel action via the Human Capital Dashbord.
  • Reviews staff's time and attendance submissions for accuracy.

Qualifications: To qualify for the Staff Assistant, PG -0303-7, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the PG-06 in the federal service. Specialized experience includes: Operating word processing and spreadsheet software to create charts and tables from statistical data. Preparing routine correspondence such as emails. Conveying information clearly through verbal and written channels. Using a computer to enter data into a database. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement (03/19/2026) to be considered.
