Staff Analog/Mixed Signal IC Layout Engineer (P4)
Location: Limerick, Ireland
The Position
Analog Devices is seeking a staff analog/mixed signal IC layout engineer for its Data Center & Energy (DCE) group in Limerick, Ireland. Within DCE, we deliver high reliability power, connectivity, and analytics solutions for modern data centers and energy infrastructure.
The successful candidate will be working on cutting-edge new products with exposure to the full range of precision technology including ADCs, DACs, converters, references, amplifiers, and switches.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Take responsibility/ownership for layout of full chip designs and large-scale sub blocks, including scheduling, floorplanning, verification and tapeout
Work collaboratively with the design team and support teams (foundry, assembly, reliability, failure analysis etc.) to achieve the desired product performance and quality
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers; establish best practices and reusable IP
Minimum Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of layout technique, be self-motivated, be willing to accept responsibility, and show initiative in identifying and solving challenging layout problems.
Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent
Ideally have 7+ years of experience of full custom IC Layout specializing in analog/mixed-signal electronics
Experience in use of Cadence Virtuoso including proficiency in use of VXL
High proficiency in interpretation and debug of verification (LVS/DRC/ANTENNA etc.)
Expertise in standard layout practices such as layout matching, parasitic, noise, shielding, supply consideration, latch up and ESD
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Good interpersonal, communications skills and report generation
Ability to work well in a global team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with high voltage layout
Experience with BiCMOS layout
Knowledge of skill scripting and advance Cadence usage
Experience with deep submicron technologies (FinFET)
Experience with precision analog circuits such as Amplifiers, Voltage references etc.
