About the Position
The Staff Accountant will work within the Finance department of the company, providing general ledger accounting. This individual will analyze financial information to assist in the preparation of financial reports, as well as ensure compliance with the company's established accounting principles.
Position Responsibilities
- Reconcile general ledger accounts to verify information is complete and accurate
- Identify discrepancies in accounts and research to resolution
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards, as well as recommend changes or entries, if necessary
- Special projects as needed
Here’s What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- 1+ years of related work experience with accounting responsibilities required
- Advanced knowledge of general accounting procedures and principles
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite
