The Staff Accountant performs accounting activities that are complex and broad in nature, specializing in the general ledger and financial reporting functions.
NOTE: This position is an in-office Mon - Fri opportunity in our Lake Jackson, Texas office.

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Perform daily cash reconciliations across multiple bank accounts and business entities
- Prepare accurate, clear, and compliant general ledger account reconciliations that ensure balance sheet integrity
- Assist with the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules to ensure an efficient and timely financial close
- Research and document accounting policies in accordance with GAAP, including drafting memos to support accounting treatment for non‑routine transactions
- Analyze account activity and prepare variance explanations
- Prepare monthly manual journal entries
- Support external auditors by providing requested documentation and explanations
- Assist in preparing compliance and regulatory reporting
- Collaborate effectively with internal departments to support smooth operations and resolve issues
- It is an essential function of this job for the employee to work in office/in the employee’s assigned work site. No remote work is available
