Mechanics Bank is currently searching for a Sr. Trust Associate to join our team. Here at Mechanics Bank, we value connection, partnership, long term relationships and working together in person. This position will be based at our Wilmington Trust Office.
The Sr. Trust Associate provides exceptional service to Wealth Management clients, while requiring an in-depth knowledge of trust and estates, asset management, and compliance with the Bank’s policies and procedures.
What you will be doing:
Assist Trust Officers in the management of trust relationships with ongoing administration of accounts.
Manage daily operational tasks; daily cash, wires, correspondence, new accounts, prepare discretionaries for committee review.
Assist in completion of projects, provide back up support for other associates.
Communicate as needed with Wealth Management clients on behalf of Sr. Trust Officer.
Who you are:
Minimum 3 years of banking or administrative experience required.
High School or GED required.
2 Year / Associate Degree preferred. Or equivalent work experience.
High School or GED required.
Travel required: 0-10%
Basic knowledge of trust administration.
Skill in attention to detail.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing, including correspondence requesting information and/or documents, forwarding information, and describing the status of situations.
Skill in prioritizing work.
Organizational skills.
The ability to coordinate and the ability to follow through.
Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, and other office applications.
Ability to apply specialized software to accomplish.
May be required to secure notary license.

Salary Range: $28.00 - $38.00 hourly
AIP/Bonus: up to 5%
