Job Description:

GDIT has been supporting the Indian Health Service (IHS) mission for more than 20 years. We work with the agency to provide integral services to enhance health access and availability to 2.6 million American Indians and Alaska Natives. You will be part of a team modernizing the Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform to enable better data access, patient experience, and quality of care for 567 tribes, 37 states and over 600 medical facilities.

Our work depends on a Sr. Training Specialist joining our team to support end user engagement, to include activities related to readiness, training and adoption activities, to support successful EHR go-live efforts.

This position is fully remote!

This role requires you to obtain and maintain an in-depth Public Trust Level 5. This investigation will review personal and criminal behavior, financial conduct, foreign influence, as well as other adjudications. 

HOW A SENIOR TRAINING SPECIALIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Manage tasks and coordinate across a range of end user training-related projects.
  • Collaborate with members of the GDIT team and external partners (including clients, subcontractors and other consultants) to develop learning solutions and manage project resources according to project plans and contractual commitments.
  • Support the completion of all phases of training projects, including project design, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and sustainment to ensure all projects – whether directly managing, executing the work, or providing oversight – are successful and effective.
  • Build strong, trust-based client and teammate relationships through client-facing meetings, problem solving and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor and managing the project resources, scope, timeline, and budget adherence.
  • Communicate effectively with all project partners while serving as an escalation path for identifying concerns, risks or issues.
  • Support the development of briefing materials, such as roadmaps, toolkits, proposals and overview presentations.
  • Develop strategies for the effective deployment of end user training, with the goal of driving adoption and effective operational workflows.
  • Support compliance: ensure efforts align and adhere to federal regulations, policies and compliance standards.
  • Supports the creation of progress reports and briefs on project status and milestones in accordance with reporting and communication requirements.
  • May supervise others.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant training-related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting medium to large IT projects, with hands-on experience engaging users and supporting change management and adoption.
  • Understanding of creating effective user experiences, beyond solely training.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Visio and similar graphics/presentation tools a plus.
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance. 
  • Ability to travel up to 25% based on project timeline and needs.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with end user training for EHR deployments is strongly preferred.
  • Experience integrating training plans with organizational change management strategies.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to manage frequently changing priorities of competing importance.
  • Ability to communicate, collaborate and manage multi-team dynamics with internal/external teammates, including clients and partners.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within tight deadlines, following detailed written policies, processes, procedures, and work instructions.

The likely salary range for this position is $80,750 - $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
