Sr. Strategy Manager – Services Business

NASB has three primary lines of business:
•Developing best-in-class consumer digital experiences (e.g., Samsung TV+, Samsung Gaming Hub, etc.)
•Operating TV and mobile content and app distribution platforms that connect partners with consumers
•Providing unique solutions to advertising clients through its Samsung Ads platform

Role and Responsibilities

NASB Strategy supports growth in these lines of business through medium-term strategic engagements and annual strategic planning in partnership with the NASB leadership team. To that end, we partner across the entirety of the NASB organization, working with sales, marketing, product and engineering, content acquisition, business development, data analytics, and finance teams.

The Strategy function is looking for a new Sr. Strategy Manager to lead key strategic initiatives and help shape the direction of our services business. Reporting to the Director of Strategy, this high-visibility role will be responsible for partnering with leadership to build and execute our overall NASB strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Engagements:

  • Collaborate with leadership to generate ideas for growth opportunities, execution improvements, or external corporate development / partnerships
  • Scope ideas into strategic initiatives through short-term engagements, building and presenting a business plan to senior leadership
  • Lead medium-term cross-functional execution to ensure initiative success and transition responsibility to relevant long-term stakeholders

Annual Strategic Planning and Leadership Partnership:

  • Participate in annual strategic planning, coordinating and influencing strategy articulation for senior leadership
  • Develop materials to support critical leadership forums
  • Partner with and provide direction to internal analytics teams to ensure leaderships reporting surfaces relevant KPIs
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and potential acquisitions to enhance our position in the market

Skills and Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8+ years of work experience; MBA Preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a strategy consulting role, corporate strategy group, or internal strategy group
  • Experience working closely with senior leadership
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, solve complex problems, and navigate global organizations
  • Experience with building financial models, working with data, and surfacing conclusions; experience with SQL/PANDAS or other technical data manipulation tools preferred
  • Self-motivated, assertive, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Accustomed to leading through influence and managing cross functional initiatives
  • Media, Advertising, or Technology experience preferred

NYC ONLY

The salary range for this role, for candidates based in NYC is expected to be between $180,000 and $210,000.  Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
