Our strategic partnership is designed to combine the strengths and expertise of both companies to advance the promise of an immunotherapy in the treatment of multiple myeloma.

 

Legend Biotech is seeking a Sr. Specialist, External Manufacture as part of the Technical Operations team based in Raritan, NJ.

Role Overview

The position will be part of the integrated CMO virtual management team working with our partner JNJ, to oversee the day-to-day business activities at CMO for Carvykti commercial manufacturing. The focus is to manage the business side of the CMO collaboration. He/she will be the business owner of the project: overseeing the project, driving the deliverables, managing the risks, and updating the senior leadership and stakeholders on the status and plans. This position will also serve as a liaison between CMO, internal functional groups, and our partner JNJ.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with CMO Business team to receive, review and align on work orders (WO) to support business priorities.
  • Provide leadership and internal financial teams with clear understanding of WOs ready for approval.
  • Provide support for purchase order generation and invoicing.
  • Work with financial teams to plan, track and control CMO budget.
  • Work with integrated business planning team (IBP) and Vein to vein team (V2V) to track batch status at CMO and contractual/business targets oversee all the CMO activities from apheresis delivery till timely DP shipment. Ensure flawless and timely execution of the production plan at the CMO’s.
  • Serve as the liaison between internal functional groups, such as global MS&T, Supply Chain, Technical Development, Quality and the CMO teams to collaboratively drive the deliverables and timelines.
  • Conduct risk and gap analysis, maintain risk registry and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Provide timely and accurate update on the CMO Business performance to the manager and cross functional stakeholders.
  • Support escalations, business planning and contract negotiation in a timely manner. 

Requirements

  • BS/MS is required in Business, Finance or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Procurement experience or CMO management experience required.
  • Experience in work order review and contract negotiation is highly preferred.
  • Experience in autologous CAR-T is highly desirable.
  • Highly Organized, detail oriented and collaborative.
  • Experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent time management, communication skills and business acumen.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint.

The anticipated base pay range is
$81,273$106,669 USD
