The Sector Quality Auditors are a catalyst for building a world-class quality culture where compliance is seamless, processes are intelligent, and innovation is expected. This role goes beyond compliance to assess process performance, risk management, defect prevention and organizational learning, driving continuous improvement across the organization.
This position will be based full-time on-site in Linthicum, MD near the Baltimore area.
What You'll Get To Do:
Establishes and executes proactive risk-based audit program for the Mission Systems sector
Ensure audits assess both compliance with requirements and process adequacy
Support sector level audit plans to ensure maximum coverage of risk across a geographically distributed team
Responsible for the development of audit scope and coordination of cross functional subject matter experts in support of audit objectives
Support monthly audit opening and closing meetings with Sector and Quality leaders
Leverage data to identify trends, drive prioritization, and inform leadership decisions
Monitor compliance performance, escalate systemic risks, and drive preventative actions
Support Management Reviews through data analysis, reporting, scheduling and action tracking
Preparing for and supporting internal, external, and corporate audit activities
Serve as the sector liaison at key MS sites as assigned
Basic Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree and 6 years of relevant experience; or 4 years with a PhD of relevant experience
Strong knowledge of AS9100, AS9145, AS9102 and other regulatory compliance requirements
Demonstrated ability to interpret and audit to complex policies, procedures, government regulations and workflow
Demonstrated experience supporting change management through implementation of improved processes and standards
Ability to utilize performance trends and leading indicators to shape audit strategy
Demonstrated ability to assess organizational risk through audit processes and determined process robustness
Qualified Auditor
Experience with risk and opportunity management
Demonstrated experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes
Experience auditing and managing compliance with QMS requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
STEM Degree
ASQ Certified Quality Auditor or AS9100 Certified Lead Auditor
Experience with APQP and PPAP
Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industry
Secret clearance
