Job Summary
The Senior Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading and directing all sales efforts within an assigned region to drive optimal sales volume, account growth, and profitability in alignment with corporate objectives. This role partners closely with leadership to develop and execute regional sales strategies, manage strategic customer accounts, oversee contract and pricing negotiations, and forecast sales performance.
This position requires strong business acumen, exceptional relationship‑building skills, and the ability to manage large, complex accounts across global markets.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead and direct overall sales efforts within the assigned region to achieve optimal sales volume and profitability.
Develop and execute strategies to grow business in alignment with company and regional priorities.
Manage strategic and platinum accounts across North America, Europe, and potentially Asia Pacific.
Overseas accounts may be managed via video conference, with occasional (1–2 times per year) travel or tradeshow presence.
Execute contracts, prepare forecasts, and oversee brand/account planning.
Negotiate pricing, customer claims, and commercial terms to secure maximum profitability.
Plan and coordinate sales territories and major account assignments.
Drive planning and regional sales forecasting activities.
Maintain strong communication with the VP of Global Sales and Customer Solutions and other internal stakeholders.
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; marketing emphasis preferred.
Equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
15+ years of sales or marketing experience, ideally within specialty materials, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
Minimum of 2 years successfully performing as a Special Accounts Manager or Senior Special Accounts Manager at Carpenter (internal requirement).
Strong experience managing complex accounts and achieving sales growth targets.
