The pay range is $95,000.00 - $171,000.00

A role in Fandom means supporting Merchandising in developing the best possible programs for Target through strategic partnerships and cross-functional collaboration. Here, you’ll work closely with Merchandising, Marketing, Roundel, Site, Finance, and external Studio & key partners to develop strategies that maximize value for Target. You’ll use strategic thinking, analytics, and strong partnership skills to position Target and its vendors for the most productive and successful collaborations, while contributing to joint business goals. 

About the role 

As a Sr Project Manager-Fandom, you will lead the implementation of the enterprise strategy and cross-functional execution for Licensing and Fandom programs. This role drives strategic planning, prioritization, and alignment across Merchandising, Marketing, Roundel, RBX, & Site and serves as the Studio Partner Lead for enterprise communications, coordination, and decision-making. The role owns the enterprise cultural calendar and enterprise-wide communications, ensuring clear, consistent messaging across key franchises and cultural moments. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this position sets the operating model and strategic direction for complex, high-impact initiatives while overseeing project management, operational execution, and recap rigor through established forums such as Studio Swing, Studio meetings, and License CFT meetings. The Strategy & Operations Lead leverages operational support for day-to-day execution and is accountable for enterprise outcomes, stakeholder alignment, and delivering high-impact Fandom programs at scale. 

Core responsibilities 

  • Lead strategy and enterprise alignment  

  • Drive cross-functional planning and execution  

  • Coordinate communications, operating cadence, and partner engagement 

  • Own the enterprise communications strategy 

  • Establish and govern operating rhythms including Studio Swing, Studio meetings, and License CFT forums 

  • Oversee project management, timelines, dependencies, and risk mitigation across complex initiatives 

  • Partner with ops teams to ensure strong recaps & documentation 

  • Set standards for tools, resources, and SharePoint enablement 

  • Influence stakeholders and drive decisions without direct authority 

About you 

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience 

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in strategy, operations, project management, or cross-functional leadership 

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives 

  • Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills 

  • Strong initiative with ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments 

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence without authority 

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
