Autodesk

Sr. Principal Product Manager, Advanced Solutions

Colorado, USA - Remote Full time

Job Requisition ID #

26WD96004

Position Overview

Autodesk's Technical Advisory organization helps enterprise customers implement Autodesk technology across architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, and media and entertainment. The Senior Product Manager, Advanced Solutions will own the frontier — solution areas that push into newer Autodesk capabilities, emerging technologies, and more complex customer challenges.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Management within Global Delivery & Solutions, you will define and develop solution offerings in areas like connected data strategies, digital factory implementations, and other advanced use cases. These solutions often involve newer Autodesk products, recent acquisitions, and integration scenarios where implementation patterns are still being established.

In the first year, you will define the advanced solutions portfolio strategy, identify the first set of solutions to develop based on customer demand and market opportunity, and work with consulting teams to validate delivery feasibility.

This role requires genuine industry depth. You need to understand the customer problems these solutions address — not just at a product feature level, but at the level of how enterprises transform their operations. You will work closely with Autodesk product teams to stay ahead of product roadmaps and acquisitions, with field consultants who are pioneering these implementations, and with customers who are adopting newer Autodesk capabilities.

Responsibilities

Advanced Solutions Portfolio Strategy

  • Define and own the advanced solutions portfolio — identifying which emerging Autodesk capabilities and industry trends warrant dedicated solution development
  • Evaluate new Autodesk products and acquisitions for consulting solution potential, working with product teams to understand roadmaps and customer adoption trajectories
  • Design solution offerings that package consulting expertise around complex implementation scenarios — connected data, digital factory, and future areas as they emerge
  • Manage the portfolio lifecycle: incubate new solutions, grow proven ones, and hand off to other product managers as solutions mature and become standard practice

Industry Insight and Customer Engagement

  • Maintain deep understanding of industry trends and enterprise technology transformation in AECO, manufacturing, and media and entertainment
  • Engage directly with customers to understand emerging needs and validate solution concepts
  • Build relationships with Autodesk product management teams to stay ahead of capability roadmaps and identify consulting opportunity windows around new releases and acquisitions
  • Partner with field consultants who are pioneering advanced implementations to capture innovation and inform solution design

Cross-Functional Execution

  • Work with Content & Knowledge to ensure advanced solution knowledge is captured and structured for reuse as solutions scale
  • Partner with engineering to define platform requirements for delivering advanced solutions, including any tooling or content specific to these use cases
  • Coordinate with the Services product manager to determine when advanced solutions are mature enough to be offered as catalog services
  • Collaborate with GTM on positioning and market development for advanced offerings

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in product management, solution management, or consulting with progressive responsibility
  • Deep domain knowledge in either AECO or manufacturing — with understanding of how enterprises adopt and implement technology in these industries
  • Experience defining and launching solution offerings that combine technology and professional services
  • Demonstrated ability to work across product management, consulting delivery, and customer-facing roles
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to assess market opportunity and prioritize a portfolio of emerging solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, computer science, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has worked in technology consulting, solution architecture, or solution management in AECO or manufacturing and brings genuine understanding of customer transformation challenges
  • Has experience evaluating new technologies or product acquisitions for services potential — can see a product roadmap and identify the consulting opportunities it creates
  • Is comfortable operating in ambiguous, early-stage solution areas where implementation patterns are still being established
  • Has worked closely with product management teams at a technology company and understands how to influence product direction based on field experience
  • Brings a portfolio management mindset — knows when to invest, when to scale, and when to hand off
