Located at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels.

Position Overview:
The Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a crucial component of the Missile Defense System. It is an essential operational system that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to plan missile defense operations efficiently, monitor the battle collectively, and dynamically control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission goals. C2BMC supports layered missile defense capabilities that allow an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It acts as a force multiplier by networking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations at regional and worldwide levels to enhance performance. C2BMC is vital for all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the current and future capabilities of missile defense systems.
Integrate Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) hardware and software into testbeds and operational systems, and conduct comprehensive system checkouts of virtual machines, networks, and message flows.
Essential Functions:
Collaborate with various internal and external entities within the Missile Defense System (MDS) to test, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system issues
Create test plans and procedures
Create Problem Reports to document issues
Give feedback to developers
Create and modify scripts to extract specific information from log files and perform data analysis of input/output and internal message traffic
Operate and troubleshoot C2BMC systems during testing events and integration activities
Conduct support meetings with National Team groups, other MDS components, and government clients
Non-standard work hours may sometimes be required, depending on test or fielding schedules
The position is based at Schriever SFB in Colorado Springs, CO, but travel to field sites and National Team locations (e.g., Huntsville, HWY83) may be required
At least 3 years of experience as a system integrator or administrator
Basic Qualifications:
Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.
A Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master’s degree (preferred) in a STEM-related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a related discipline with 4 years of relevant work experience
Applicants must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, etc.) at the time of application, which is required to start. The candidate is responsible for maintaining their DoD 8140 certification throughout the entire contract period
Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
Expertise in at least one or more of these areas: Networking, Linux, or Windows
Self-starter with strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, capable of working effectively in a fast-paced team environment with the Government customers as well as internal and external personnel
Basic troubleshooting skills and the ability to understand hardware and software components in a widely distributed, virtual environment
Ability to perform complex troubleshooting by analyzing application and system logs, network configurations, and interface documents
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical knowledge of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Missile Defense System (MDS), including sensors, interceptors, command and control systems, and networks
Previous experience with integration and testing within the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program
Experience with Agile Methodologies
Creating and managing capabilities, features, and pull requests

Primary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
