Job Title: Sr Principal Design Engineer

Location: Katowice, Poland

                                               

Reports to: Design Engineering Director

Job Overview:

The Vertical Solutions Engineering team develops protocol interface solutions for best-in-class Palladium and Protium emulation systems, enabling connections between the emulator and real-world circuits for ASIC verification. Key protocols include PCI Express, USB, Ethernet, UA Link, SATA, SAS, and Video.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and test FPGA-based RTL for hardware verification products.
  • Develop product architectures and complex RTL modules for protocols such as Ethernet, MIPI, HDMI, and DisplayPort; integrate with hardware and support field deployment.
  • Lead or contribute to FPGA design projects, including board design, RTL development, verification, productization, and documentation.
  • Address diverse challenges in FPGA design, simulation, and verification.
  • Provide guidance for less experienced team members, serve as a subject matter expert.
  • Proactively solve significant and unique problems
  • Interact with customers providing expertise and product support
  • Manage laboratory equipment, contribute to lab enhancements, and identify future needs.

Job Qualifications:

  • BSEE or equivalent, with at least 10 years of hardware system design experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Expertise in FPGA design for Xilinx products, including high-speed design, serial protocols, and timing closure.
  • Proficiency in Verilog and RTL verification tools; experience with Cadence simulation products preferred.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Perl, TCL, C-shell)
  • Understanding PCB design and tools is advantageous.
