SUMMARY:
Responsible for all aspects of the operations at multiple or complex locations including, people management and development, process improvement, policy design and deployment, contractor oversite and safety.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Direct all operations personnel, including dispatchers, operations assistants, warehouse personnel, drivers, and service crew in daily activities, whether employees or contractors
- Ensure all service-related activities are performed to the highest level possible in accordance with company and vendor standards.
- Ensure that all employees and contractors have proper training, job skills, and knowledge to perform assigned duties. Assess and act when re-training is needed.
- Ensure compliance with governmental regulations, licensing and permitting, and administrative policies and procedures
- Lead performance reviews, career path planning meetings, positive feedback and recognition activities, corrective action meetings, and disciplinary actions with all operations personnel
- Foster an environment and culture of Safety First, monitoring practices and adjusting as appropriate to sustain a safe work environment
- Establish and execute operational playbook for worksites to improve safety, productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction
- Establish and monitor process for records management related to job records, contractor records, client records and vendor records
- Mentors and develops leaders and staff
- Develop and deploy site-wide process improvement projects to optimize operations and improve productivity to meet or exceed business objectives
- Own and deliver the operational budget including productivity, financial and labor planning and operational goals
- Effectively leverage Operations Managers and Supervisors to solicit ideas and understand problems and challenges at the site
- Networks with leaders across the company to solicit and share process improvement and best practices to drive efficiencies and cost savings.
- Drive timely planning and scheduling for all jobs and all lines of business
- Establish quality goals and continuous improvement plans and monitor for performance against goals
- Monitor gross margins for service line. Develop and implement specific plans to improve gross margins compatible with operation goals
- Monitor productivity of production crews against goals
- Manage overtime hours within acceptable guidelines
- Participate in job costing to provide the basis to secure additional profitable business opportunities
- Negotiate contracts with equipment and materials suppliers as delegated and agreed to with the Director of Operations
- Serve as subject matter expert for business development and sales calls to describe and promote the company’s capabilities
- Recommend capital expenditures for acquisition of new equipment and maintenance of existing equipment to increase efficiency and services of operations department
- Set policies and procedures for facility and vehicle security, including end of day checks, and monitor them for completion

Education & Experience
- 5+ years general warehouse/operations experience
- 2+ years management experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
