Job Summary
Green Dot Corporation is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join the NE Team, responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure and scalable network infrastructure supporting enterprise applications and services.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and support enterprise network infrastructure across public cloud and on-prem environments.
Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot latency, packet loss, and connectivity issues.
Implement network automation and orchestration using tools like Ansible, Python, or Terraform.
Collaborate with InfoSec and DevOps teams to ensure secure and compliant network operations.
Lead incident response and root cause analysis for network-related issues.
Document network architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to cross-functional technical initiatives.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure operations.
Deep expertise in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and subnetting.
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortinet devices.
Proficiency in cloud networking (AWS and Azure), including VPCs, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, and VPNs, VNets, and Express Routes.
Familiarity with SD-WAN, network segmentation, and zero-trust architectures.
Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Datadog, Prometheus) and logging frameworks (e.g., ELK).
Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, SOC 2).
