The Opportunity 

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a highly skilled Senior Media Producer to support the Worldwide Campus and Academic Innovation team at WW Headquarters. This position plays a critical role in advancing high-quality online learning experiences through professional video production, multimedia development, and instructional collaboration.

The Senior Media Producer partners with university leadership, instructional designers, subject matter experts, and course developers to plan and produce high-quality photo, video, and motion graphics for online courses and academic initiatives. This role serves as a mentor to Media Producers and acts as a subject matter expert in multimedia production and instructional media design.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and producing professional-quality video, audio, and motion graphics for online courses

  • Developing scripts and storyboards in collaboration with academic stakeholders

  • Applying instructional design principles to multimedia development

  • Operating and managing audio, video, and lighting equipment

  • Converting and optimizing media assets for online delivery

  • Ensuring media accessibility compliance, including Section 508 standards

  • Providing coaching and guidance on multimedia best practices

  • Evaluating and implementing innovative tools and technologies that enhance digital learning

This role requires strong independent work capabilities, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high production standards.

Qualifications

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Video Production, Broadcasting, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Required Experience
  • 1–3 years of professional experience in creative media production, video production, broadcasting, marketing media, or digital content creation.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Experience producing professional photo and video content for digital platforms.

  • Proficiency with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or comparable editing tools.

  • Experience using cinema cameras, mirrorless cameras, and professional lighting equipment.

  • Ability to capture high-quality audio using professional recording hardware.

  • Knowledge of video production workflows including lighting, sound, editing, and post-production.

  • Ability to organize, coordinate, and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders to determine project scope, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain and manage digital media libraries and project assets.

  • Ability to provide guidance and coaching on best practices for digital media creation.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Ability to maintain brand consistency and ensure accessibility compliance for digital media content.

  • Flexibility to work evenings or weekends during live productions or special events.

  • Ability to lift and transport video production equipment when necessary.

  • Ability to travel occasionally to support media production, university events, or commencement ceremonies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience producing media for higher education or instructional design environments.

  • Experience with live-streaming production and event broadcasting.

  • Experience with scriptwriting, storyboarding, and directing talent for video production.

  • Familiarity with emerging digital media technologies and storytelling trends.
