Location/Division Specific Information
This role is based in Tokyo and supports clinical trial supply operations within the Pharma Services Group, Clinical Trials Division. As part of the Drug Supply Associate (DSA) team, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure orders and shipments are processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with established procedures.
How Will You Make an Impact?
You will help ensure investigational products reach patients and study sites by processing customer orders accurately and within required timelines. By following cGMP procedures while proactively addressing issues and supporting continuous improvement, you will help maintain reliable and compliant clinical trial supply operations.
A Day in the Life
Process shipping orders in a timely manner and ensure each order is handled accurately.
Complete pick lists according to project instructions and prepare shipment documentation.
Prepare relevant documents in line with country requirements and client instructions.
Complete documentation and update computer systems appropriately and correctly.
Communicate with team members and related departments to resolve issues and support smooth daily operations.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
Required: Minimum of 2 years of work experience in distribution, warehouse, supply chain, or a related field.
Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Customer-focused mindset and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy with numbers, and sound judgment in handling orders and documentation.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with management and cross-functional departments.
Problem-solving capability and ability to manage conflicts professionally.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to read and write in English and conduct basic English communication.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
This position is primarily based in an operations/office environment supporting logistics and order processing activities and may require occasional time in a warehouse or shipping area. The role requires sustained attention to detail for documentation and system transactions and the ability to meet shipment cut-off times, including additional hours as required.
