As a Sr. Marketing Manager, Annual Plan, you will translate business goals and guest insights into measurable, outcome-driven marketing strategies, ensuring clear linkage between marketing investments, channel performance, and business results. You will lead the development of annual marketing plans that define success metrics, learning plans and performance expectations partnering across marketing, analytics, and finance teams to assess impact and optimize plans over time.
You will define Marketing goals and the role of Marketing channels, while using measurement frameworks and performance insights to influence investment decisioning and drive accountable growth. This role requires strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and deep expertise in marketing measurement, performance analysis and continuous optimization, along with attention to detail and the ability to translate data into clear recommendations. About You:
8+ years of related experience in marketing, brand, media, analytics, or agency environments, with demonstrated ownership of marketing performance measurement at enterprise scale
Proven ability to translate business and guest objectives into clear success metrics, learning agendas and measurement frameworks that assess marketing effectiveness across channels and time horizons
Strong marketing, business, and media acumen, with deep experience leveraging enterprise measurement approaches (e.g., marketing mix modeling, incrementality testing, attribution, or budget optimization frameworks) to inform strategy and investment decisioning
Experience interpreting complex, multi-source performance data and synthesizing insights into executive-ready narratives that influence priorities, tradeoffs, and funding decisions
Understanding of digital and traditional media channels and their distinct measurement considerations, with the ability to establish channel performance standards and accountability
Demonstrated ability to evaluate ROI, identify drivers of impact, quantify uncertainty and apply learnings to improve future plans
Tenacity and courage to champion bold, data-informed ideas, paired with a commitment to continuous improvement through and disciplined performance reviews
Ability to partner effectively across marketing, analytics, finance, and agency teams to align on measurement approach, interpret results, and drive action at scale
Excellent communication and influence skills, with the ability to translate sophisticated measurement outputs into clear, actionable recommendations across a diverse team of stakeholders
Marketing, brand, media, analytics, or agency experience preferred
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
