What You Will Achieve
Your expertise in Engineering will help in leading the continued transformation of the Drug Products (DP) Operations. You will ensure that Project Engineering colleagues are fully aligned with the Pfizer values by demonstrating those values and fostering a culture where people feel seen, heard and cared for.  You will be responsible for the project engineering teams and budgets supporting DP ensuring capital and demolition projects are prioritized and completed on time and on budget and operate as intended.   Your project management skills will be important to ensure timely deliverables.

As a Senior Manager, your innovative ideas and timely decision-making play an important role in the reliable and efficient operation of all site assets.  Your decisions will impact capital investments, shutdown efficiency, equipment reliability, operational effectiveness and provide the foundation for us to achieve our operational goals. Your ability to leverage constructive relationships across the site and network will help you maximize the resources available within the organization. Your ability to exercise foresight and judgment in initiating, planning, and executing complex projects will be critical to the achievement of Site goals.

How You Will Achieve It

This Senior Manager is accountable to:

  • Ensure that DP and support organizations’ capital and demolition projects are managed in accordance with best practices including on-time start-up, completion within budget and meeting established business partner expectations for successful project outcome(s).

  • Interact with internal business partners to establish and define requirements for assigned projects in the DP area.

  • Oversee development of conceptual designs, preliminary budgets and schedules for DP business area.

  • Assist project managers with the preparation of Capital Project Appropriation requests (CPAs) for the DP business area.

  • Oversee development of “Request for Proposal” documents for design services, construction services and major equipment items as appropriate.

  • Oversee development of RFP’s (Request for Purchase) for purchases major equipment items as required for proper implementation of assigned projects.

  • Ensure project compliance with applicable PGS standards and best practices.

  • Provide validation Installation and Operational Qualification (IQ/OQ) documentation for assigned projects as applicable.

  • Maintain technical skills in the latest techniques for project management and engineering technology.

  • Provide technical expertise in support of capital projects.

  • Maintain awareness of new developments in engineering technologies and their application.

  • Research and develop potential new technical solutions related to site projects.

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  •  Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of experience; OR a master's degree with at least 5 years of experience; OR a PhD with 1+ years of experience

  • Demonstrated excellence in facilitation and communication skills

  • Experience in managing people, with the ability to coach, counsel, and lead a team effectively

  • Strong organizational skills paired with exceptional problem-solving abilities

  • Proven track record in project management within a complex, matrixed environment

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)

  • Knowledge of equipment design, project management skills, reliability maintenance, and utilities operation

  • PMP Certification or PE License

  • Experience in developing and implementing innovative solutions

  • Ability to influence and drive change within a large organization

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

  • Travel is expected to be less than 10%.

Work Location Assignment: On Premise

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $135,100.00 to $225,100.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
