Sr. Manager Platform Architect, ServiceNow

The Platform Architect for ServiceNow is a key member of the ServiceNow platform team, and will be responsible as a lead in the overall design, and implementation of the application as well as mapping of client business requirements to systems/technical requirements. The Platform Architect for ServiceNow works as a team lead along with the Service Delivery Manager, as well as with our Managed Service Provider, supporting all team members to deliver the complete solution for our Business and IT Partners. 

This role requires 4 days per week onsite and is not open to hybrid / remote work arrangements

A typical day may include:

  • Lead the end-to-end architecture of ServiceNow ecosystems encompassing ITSM, ITOM, IRM, HRSD, SecOps, and other enterprise modules.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into scalable, secure, and compliant technical architectures leveraging ServiceNow best practices.
  • Architect complex integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems using Integration Hub, Flow Designer, Orchestration, and MID Servers. Must possess extensive hands-on experience in ServiceNow integrations utilizing REST API, SOAP, JDBC, SFTP, and similar technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including developers, product owners, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure a cohesive end-to-end design and maintain traceability across all solution layers.
  • Assess and recommend suitable module selections, ensuring a balance between leveraging out-of-the-box capabilities and implementing custom development when required.
  • Engage in process flow analysis and the design or redesign of processes in collaboration with the Service Delivery Manager's team.
  • Establish platform strategy, architectural blueprints, and implementation of roadmaps to drive digital transformation and modernization efforts.
  • Develop and maintain ServiceNow knowledge and documentation up-to-date through self-study, utilization of available training, and best practice documentation
  • Develop a comprehensive functional design document that aligns with customer requirements for large-scale and highly visible projects or module implementations.
  • Maintain the integrity of the Service Now system across production and non-production environments.
  • Guide other developers, give architectural support to the teams, and take part in design and code reviews. Also, do solution walkthroughs and assess code quality.

This role may be for you if you have:

  • Expert level command of administration & architecture in ServiceNow
  • Extensive experience with ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, GRC, and SecOps
  • Experience with scripting in the ServiceNow platform using JavaScript or Jelly, including: Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Pages, etc.
  • Experience of managing 3rd parties and 3rd party managed services
  • Ability to work with global team and utilize global best practices for service delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and consult, while providing thought leadership to stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer-centric attitude
  • Proven team player and team builder

To be considered for this role you must possess a Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or computer engineering with 8+ years of experience as a key technical resource for a large scale ServiceNow platform implementation, and 4+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Architect or ServiceNow Solution Consultant. Ability to provide technical leadership and professional guidance to the ServiceNow development team

The following certificates are a plus: 

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administration Advanced
  • ITIL v3 Certification (Optional)

Salary Range (annually)

$150,500.00 - $245,500.00
