WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE

As the Operational Excellence Lead, you will be pivotal in elevating our operational standards across the PGS network. Your advanced knowledge in delivering operational excellence and continuous improvement will be crucial in optimizing site performance and implementing best practices. By conducting OpX Maturity Diagnostics, spearheading initiatives, and driving value realization, you will identify and eliminate inefficiencies, ensuring streamlined processes and enhanced operational effectiveness to delivery measurable value and impact. 

Your contributions will provide valuable insights and recommendations, directly impacting the efficiency, effectiveness, and strategic alignment of our business processes. Leveraging IMEx as our foundational way work working and methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Innovation and others, you will foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement across the GH&B network of sites. 

As a Senior Manager, you will coach and mentor teams to adopt best practices, drive a continuous improvement mindset and achieve measurable outcomes. 

HOW YOU WILL ACHIEVE IT

  • Leverage demonstrated IMEx subject matter expertise in various ecosystems to ensure sites sustainably apply the Production System, accelerating value realization and long-term performance improvement.

  • Apply proven methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Innovation, TQM, Design Thinking, Kaizen, TPM, Process Mapping/Visualization, and Agile to identify inefficiencies and streamline processes to delivery against financial goals.

  • Lead, support, and coach continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean & Six Sigma belt projects, focused on driving value realization across the GH&B network.

  • Train, support, and coach site colleagues to enhance site skills and knowledge in operational excellence methodologies.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging the adoption of proven methodologies and best practices throughout the GH&B network.

  • Actively engage as a T4 GH&B Operational Excellence Process Centric Team member to build a self-sustaining culture of continuous improvement.

  • Lead OpX Maturity Diagnostics to evaluate operational efficiency, identify continuous improvement opportunities, and implement effective, sustainable solutions.

  • Own data analytics of performance metrics to assess process effectiveness, track improvements, and make data-driven decisions that enhance operational performance to deliver financial savings.

 

MUST HAVE SKILLS

  • Process Improvement: Possesses expertise and demonstrated applications of methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, Innovation, TQM, Design Thinking, Kaizen, TPM, Process Mapping/Visualization, Agile Methodologies, and holds relevant certifications where applicable. 

  • Analytical Mindset: Assesses internal and external factors and utilizes data and analytics, problem identification, and problem-solving to develop sustainable solutions. 

  • Results-Oriented: Consistently focuses on achieving measurable results and sustainable improvements. 

  • Effective Communication: Use a variety of communication tools and techniques to present complex ideas to T432 leaders, anticipate the potential objections and address stakeholder concerns to ensure alignment through effective storytelling.

  • Influencing Skills: Effectively influence and align stakeholders at various T4321 tiers in a matrixed environment

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with leaders, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define goals, priorities, and success metrics, ensuring alignment with business strategies.

HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED (Minimum Requirements)

  • Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of experience; OR a master's degree with at least 5 years of experience; OR a PhD with 1+ years of experience.

  • Completed multiple Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt projects within the past 2 years, demonstrating practical application and measurable results.

  • Proficiency in data analytics tools and platforms (e.g. Tableau, Power BI). 

  • Proficiency in operational excellence methodologies (e.g. Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, TPM, 5S).

  • Experience leading cross site initiatives driving from strategy to implementation and sustainment.

  • Proven experience demonstrating the ability to influence and align peers with Operational Excellence strategic priorities. 

  • Strong ability to navigate through uncertainty and perform effectively in dynamic environments. 

  • Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills to enable, motivate & influence at various levels and from different reporting lines than your own.

  • Promotes Innovation creative behaviors and takes appropriate risks to challenge the status quo, resulting in enhanced processes.

  • Fluent in English.

 

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE (Preferred Requirements)

  • Lean or Six Sigma Black Belt.

  • Innovation Coach.

  • 6 + years experience in Operational Excellence leadership experience preferred.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $124,400.00 to $207,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
