DESCRIPTION:
Join our team as a Senior Manager of Manufacturing Sciences, where you'll direct technical operations and support excellence in pharmaceutical manufacturing. In this key role, you'll provide strategic leadership for manufacturing science and technology teams. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring successful technology transfers, process validations, and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining the highest quality standards.
You'll coordinate multi-disciplinary teams in developing and optimizing manufacturing processes, collaborating with cross-functional partners including R&D, Quality Assurance, Operations, and Supply Chain. Your leadership will be essential in resolving complex technical challenges, implementing innovative solutions, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This position offers the opportunity to directly impact patient care by enabling efficient production of life-changing therapeutics.
Working with customers and internal stakeholders, you'll support strategic initiatives to enhance manufacturing capabilities, improve process efficiency, and maintain our position in pharmaceutical manufacturing. You'll support a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence while developing and mentoring teams.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology manufacturing, with 3+ years in leadership roles
• Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related scientific field
• Advanced technical or management certifications beneficial
• Extensive knowledge of GMP regulations, FDA requirements, and quality systems
• Demonstrated success in leading technology transfers and process validation activities
• Strong expertise in manufacturing process development and optimization
• Experience with risk assessment and implementation of corrective actions
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop technical teams
• Excellence in project management and cross-functional collaboration
• Strong problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
• Proficiency in analyzing manufacturing data and key performance indicators
• Ability to work effectively in a regulated environment
• Travel required for multi-site responsibilities
• Strong documentation and technical writing abilities
• Demonstrated success in building collaborative relationships with customers and stakeholders
