ROLE SUMMARY
The Data and Analytics Solutions team, which is part of PGS (Pfizer Global Supply) Creation Center within the Chief Digital Office, is responsible for the development and management of all data and analytic tools and applications across PGS value streams. The team’s focus is transforming PGS with trusted, AI-ready data, solutions & capabilities through robust Data Governance and AI technologies by automating processes, augmenting personas and accelerating insights to foster a Data-Driven culture.
Join Pfizer Global Supply Digital as a Senior Manager, Logistics Data & Analytics. This role operates as a trusted functional partner to Global Logistics, owning complex data and analytics capabilities that enable operational excellence and informed decision‑making. The position balances advanced functional expertise, people leadership, and execution of senior‑leader defined objectives, with impact primarily across the Global Logistics function and PGS Digital.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Director of Supply Execution & Strategy Solutions, the External Supply Lead will be responsible for the following:
Functional & Technical Leadership
Own and evolve Global Logistics data architecture and analytics capabilities, applying advanced functional expertise to solve ongoing, complex operational challenges.
Serve as a subject‑matter leader for enterprise data models supporting shipments, sustainability, freight accruals, and logistics KPIs.
Execute against objectives set by senior leadership by translating targets into clear team goals, milestones, and delivery outcomes.
Analytics Strategy & Execution
Lead delivery of complex analytics initiatives (e.g., carrier performance, routing adherence, lead times, temperature excursions) with accountability for accuracy, consistency, and adoption.
Define and govern business rules, KPI logic, and master data alignment to ensure repeatable, enterprise‑grade analytics outputs.
Apply Snowflake and Tableau proficiency to guide data‑driven decisions; influence solution design rather than acting as an individual contributor.
Cross‑Functional Partnership
Act as a trusted partner to Logistics, Digital, and platform teams, independently leading complex meetings and driving alignment across matrixed stakeholders.
Lead cross‑functional initiatives involving internal teams and external vendors, managing priorities, dependencies, and trade‑offs.
Innovation & Problem Solving
Develop solutions to high‑complexity problems by interpreting PGS strategies and establishing actionable priorities that improve logistics performance.
Identify and apply emerging analytics and AI capabilities where they deliver clear operational value, exercising sound judgment and risk awareness.
People & Talent Leadership
Directly lead and develop skilled technical and analytical professionals, fostering accountability, engagement, and continuous capability growth.
Coach, mentor, and support succession planning in line with Pfizer’s Collective Talent Management approach.
Measure success through both individual performance and team outcomes, consistent withSenior Manager expectations.
Professional Experience and Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field
Proven leader with 6+ years driving high‑impact initiatives across supply chain, logistics, analytics, engineering, and product management in complex, global organizations.
Requires exceptional knowledge of Supply Chain processes and applies these skills to ensure a Global Logistics organization meets its goals
Ability to Innovate, exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and executive communication skills are required
Strong business acumen and ability to influence in a global, matrixed organization
2–3 years of hands‑on product management experience, shaping product vision and translating business priorities into scalable, data‑driven solutions.
2+ years of cloud‑based software development experience (AWS preferred), with the technical depth to guide architecture and the strategic clarity to influence product direction.
Strong track record steering cross‑functional teams, aligning stakeholders, and delivering measurable business outcomes without relying on direct authority.
Adept at simplifying complex problems, structuring roadmaps, defining success criteria, and ensuring disciplined execution from concept to adoption.
Recognized for building high‑trust, collaborative teams—coaching talent, sharing ownership, and elevating performance across diverse skill sets.
Deep experience converting business vision into platform and product strategy, providing both functional and technical leadership.
Advanced expertise in data architecture, analytics delivery, KPI frameworks, and data governance.
Practical experience with Snowflake, Tableau, modern data pipelines, and responsible AI/ML practices in regulated environments.
Skilled in working with structured and unstructured data, rapidly adapting to new technologies and challenges, and delivering outcomes with autonomy and creativity.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to influence at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Hands‑on Agile experience with modern delivery methodologies and cross‑disciplinary team environments.
Working knowledge of ML‑powered and LLM‑based products, including experience with agentic AI approaches.
Experience designing automated, reusable analytic workflows and model pipelines for enterprise use.
Strong capability in building data and analytic products that resonate with both technical and non‑technical users.
Pharma & Life Sciences commercial domain knowledge and data literacy.
Experience with agentic AI platforms such as Azure AI Foundry.
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
