What you'll be doing

As the Senior Manager, Facilities Management – Workplace, you'll be a key contributor to advancing CIBC's business objectives through high-quality infrastructure support. Reporting to the Director, Facility Management, you'll work closely with Ecosystem Managers and Business Units to support the daily operations of the Global Workplace Experience Strategy at CIBC Square. You'll provide business partner support for day-to-day operations, oversee ecosystem governance, manage premises infrastructure, and monitor facility management services to ensure a seamless workplace experience within the Ecosystems.

How you’ll succeed

  • Team management – Lead and mentor a team responsible for workplace operations, providing incredible workplace experience for our guests and employees. Manage and coach facilities staff to deliver excellent service levels for the client. Performance Manage across teams and service lines, reporting on and monitoring performance. Set objectives for direct reports and review bi-weekly, ensuring same approach and mechanisms for all staff within area of responsibility.
  • Relationship management – Develop and maintain positive relationships with the Ecosystem Managers. Manage excellent relationships with our Business Units, clients, and other partners based on the Global Workplace Experience Strategy. Develop maximum growth of the business through understanding client needs, maximizing the services delivered and championing excellent customer care.
  • Operations management – Conduct client meetings on unresolved facility issues in an expeditious and professional manner. Communicate to clients regarding property profiles, emergency preparedness plans, site inspections, facility audits, work order progress reports, etc. Liaise with Sr. Facilities team for all premises related matter such as office moves, and project manage the local coordination or premises and building related matters. Participate in the maintenance of the FM Support Mailbox, ensuring 24-hour response rate and appropriate actions taken. Conducting weekly inventory audit inspections of the ecosystems, acting on any deficiencies to ensure no escalations.
  • Process improvement – Research and implement new processes and technology to improve operational efficiency.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate 5+ years of experience in a Facilities Management role in a fast-paced environment. You have a proven track record within Facility Management with experience in a large AAA Commercial building or similar.
