Position Overview

 

The Senior Manager of Executive Protection is a key operational role within Insulet’s Global Security team, reporting directly to the Director of Executive Protection. This position is responsible for executing and enhancing protective operations for Insulet’s senior leadership, including travel security, event support, and threat mitigation. The role requires global travel and close coordination with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure the safety and continuity of executive activities.

This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to a high-performing executive protection program in a dynamic, global environment. Success in this role means delivering discreet, professional, and proactive security support that aligns with Insulet’s values and operational tempo.

 

Responsibilities

Protective Operations & Travel Security

  • Conduct protective advance assessments for domestic and international travel, ensuring preparedness and seamless execution.

  • Provide secure transportation for executives using pre-planned routes and contingency protocols.

  • Develop and lead high-risk travel and special events with tailored security planning and execution.

  • Maintain readiness to respond to emerging threats or incidents in real time.

Threat Monitoring & Intelligence Coordination

 

  • Monitor global events and threat indicators in coordination with the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC).

  • Leverage protective intelligence tools to identify and assess risks to executives.

  • Collaborate with the Executive IT Team to ensure endpoint device security and resiliency.

Training & Program Support

 

  • Work in coordination with the Director, Executive Protection in developing and delivering executive protection training programs to maintain high standards of performance.

  • Responsible for the implementation of global security policies, procedures, and awareness initiatives.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of executive protection activities and incident reports.

  • Back up for Director of Executive Protection

Stakeholder Engagement & Vendor Coordination

 

  • Build strong working relationships with internal partners.

  • Liaise with external vendors and law enforcement to support protective operations.

  • Assist in managing vendor relationships and evaluating supplemental security resources.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of protective intelligence and threat assessment methodologies.

  • Possession or ability to obtain LEOSA HR 218 authorization

  • U.S. Transportation Security Administration, Armed Security Officer certification.

  • CPR or EMT certification.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree plus minimum of 10 years of relevant law enforcement, public sector, private sector, or corporate experience.

  • Graduate of an accredited Law Enforcement Academy preferred.

Additional Information

  • The position is based in Acton, MA with global responsibilities.

  • Travel is estimated at 30-40% but will flex depending on business needs.

Compensation & Benefits: For U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $131,000.00 - $196,475.00 This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
