In this multi-disciplinary supply chain role, the Sr. Manager, Demand Planning and Sales, Inventory, and Operational Planning (SIOP) Leader must provide a consistent Divisional operating plan monthly. The responsibilities include two main areas: keeping a strong demand signal critical to demand planning and leading the global SIOP process to reach the financial plan and support an efficient customer experience over the medium and long term.
We take ownership of a high-quality, unified demand plan and the global process to improve, merge, and distribute these plans for the Division. Your global planning team will act as the trusted source for demand signals across a 24-month horizon. They will maintain alignment and reduce bias from many partners and data sources.
With demand as a focal point, we will be delivering value throughout the SIOP process steps. You will ensure the RACI, inputs, outputs, data, and decision-making framework are clearly coordinated and implemented each month.
What you will do?
- Ensure the suitable process framework, inputs, outputs, connections, and rhythm of demand planning activity worldwide to provide BU level demand plans on a monthly cycle.
- Drive the appropriate metrics, performance indicators, and exception management systems to ensure next month’s demand plan is more credible than the last.
- Continuously improve the Demand Planning tools to deliver reliable statistical models, guarantee data accuracy, and generate outputs at suitable hierarchy levels (regions & products).
- Champion the standardization of guidelines across the business units, harmonizing and differentiating where appropriate.
- Drive engagement and participation of consensus demand reviews and other SIOP meetings, including consolidation and distribution of presentation materials, plans, meeting notes/action items.
- Mature and advance demand planning tools, analytics, and modeling approaches to enrich the forecasting process.
- Collaborate with product management and supply chain partners to ensure successful new product launches and the phase-out of outdated products.
- Drive financial partnership to ensure quality financial forecasts, including average selling price, mix, and margin to ensure monthly financial realization.
- Ensure strong decision quality at every stage of the process and raise issues appropriately to BU GM’s when agreement on business decisions cannot be achieved.
- Coordinate the appropriate SIOP content, including scenario planning and optionality to facilitate decision making at the Director+ level.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, operations management, engineering, or business administration.
- Validated ability in demand planning, supply chain planning, or SIOP leadership roles.
- Advanced supply chain knowledge with validated experience building, standing up, scaling, and maturing end-to-end processes.
- Ability to influence at a senior level without direct authority and identify problems, answer questions, gain partnership of others, and implement efficient solutions.
- Strong organizational change capability with consistent record to lead change.
- Knowledge of business systems and information technology leading complex supply chain activities.
- Requires considerable interpretation of data, independent judgment, and good analytical ability to handle wide-ranging situations.
- Validated expertise in different ERP environments (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Proficiency PC/Windows – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Business Administration (MBA).
- Pharma/Biotech experience.
- Demantra demand planning tool experience.
- Professional Certification in production and inventory management, supply chain management, or project management; APICS CPIM or CSCP, ISM CPSM, or PMI PMP.
