PRIMARY FUNCTION:

As a Sr Inventory Specialist in Indirect Procurement Operations, you will support the day-to-day procurement activities related to indirect goods and services, focusing on purchase order (PO) creation, warehouse coordination, and order tracking. You will collaborate with sourcing teams, warehouse operations, finance partners, and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate procurement transactions within company policies and systems.

In this role, you’ll learn and apply procurement best practices to manage indirect purchasing requests, maintain data accuracy, and support the smooth flow of materials and information between internal stakeholders and external vendors. You will play a key role in tracking purchase orders, assisting in warehouse documentation, and resolving delivery or system-related queries while ensuring compliance with established procurement procedures.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support indirect procurement operations through accurate creation and processing of purchase orders in ERP systems
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to track delivery of goods and confirm receipts against POs.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and data quality within indirect procurement.
  • Support inventory management processes and help maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Collaborate with vendors, warehouses, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards using Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, lookups, and basic formulas).
  • Maintain professional documentation and communication across teams and stakeholders.
  • Actively responds to workload volumes by managing responsibilities and re-prioritizing effectively.

REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

  • Reports to Manager Inventory Operations. Works closely with operations Analyst, business teams and other teams as necessary.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduate freshers or with 0 to 2 years of work experience
  • Basic understanding of procurement, warehousing, and supply chain concepts.
  • Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Charts).
  • Ability to interpret and analyze data using tools like Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Professional email and documentation etiquette.
