Linksquares inc.

Sr. Full-Stack Software Engineer (Integrations)

Remote Full Time

LinkSquares is the leading contract lifecycle management company in the legal industry, named a Strong Performer in The Forrester Wave™: Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM).

Businesses run on contracts—they drive revenue, manage obligations, enable financing, and support reporting activities. Our AI-powered CLM SaaS product suite delivers end-to-end solutions trusted by some of the world’s most respected organizations, including DraftKings, Wayfair, TIME, and the Boston Celtics. We are proud to support our customers in achieving their goals, and remain dedicated to delivering value and innovation to meet their needs.

We ranked #174 on Deloitte’s Fastest-Growing Companies in North America, named “Contract Management Solution Provider Of The Year” by LegalTech Breakthrough Awards, and has been named to the Inc. 5000 list for the fifth consecutive year, ranking among the fastest-growing private companies in America.

At LinkSquares, our AI-powered, end-to-end contract management and analytics platform takes the manual, time-consuming, tedious tasks out of the contracting process. With LinkSquares, legal, finance, HR, and procurement teams save time, cut costs, and improve business outcomes. We are a 200+ person company headquartered in downtown Boston.

We're seeking an experienced Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (Integrations) who can build core platform infrastructure that powers our product capabilities.

What you will be doing:

  • Design and develop integration platform infrastructure - adapter layer APIs, event-driven systems, workflow orchestration engines, authentication services across enterprise applications
  • Lead technical decision-making on integration architecture patterns, API design for platform consumers, and distributed systems trade-offs
  • Build full-stack capabilities across backend integration services and frontend interfaces
  • Collaborate across Product, Sales, Tech Services, and Engineering teams to understand integration requirements and deliver solutions
  • Own feature delivery from conception through production deployment
  • Debug and resolve complex integration issues: OAuth flows, webhook delivery failures, rate limiting scenarios, message queue problems, third-party API connectivity
  • Establish technical standards and best practices for integration development through code review, documentation, and team guidance
  • Improve development workflows: CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies for third-party API interactions, and observability infrastructure
  • Mentor team members on integration platform thinking, distributed systems design, and OAuth authentication patterns

What we are looking for:

  • Strong backend experience with Ruby on Rails building production integration systems.
  • Solid frontend skills with React and TypeScript. You ship features across the stack.
  • Experience with distributed systems like message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS), async processing, idempotency, eventual consistency. If you've worked at integration platforms or iPaaS companies (Zapier, Workato, Tray.io, MuleSoft), even better.
  • You've deployed and operated production services on AWS (Lambda, RDS, SQS, S3).
  • PostgreSQL proficiency including schema design, query optimization, multi-tenant data handling.
  • You've built APIs that other engineers use. You understand webhooks, polling systems, and event processing.
  • Deep knowledge of integration mechanics like OAuth2 across different enterprise systems, webhook reliability, credential management, rate limiting, handling third-party API failures. Experience with enterprise SaaS APIs (Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite, Coupa) is a big plus.
  • Product sense for integrations. You can figure out which integrations actually matter to customers, understand enterprise workflows, and translate customer problems into integration solutions.
  • Track record shipping integration features end-to-end. You've debugged OAuth flows that mysteriously break, webhooks that stop firing, or data sync conflicts.
  • You make teammates better through code review and sharing what you've learned. You help people think about integration architecture, not just build one-off connections.
  • You make good calls with incomplete information and changing requirements.
  • You use AI tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude) to work faster and experiment with new capabilities.

Bonus Qualifications

  • You've built integration platform infrastructure or iPaaS products before
  • Prior work at integration-focused companies (Zapier, Workato, Tray.io, MuleSoft, Segment)
  • Experience with GraphQL, gRPC, or other API styles
  • CDC (Change Data Capture) or event sourcing experience
  • Data transformation engines or integration protocols
  • You've advocated for integration strategy at the product or executive level

Our Principles

  • We prioritize shipping and learning over extended analysis. Reversible decisions are made quickly and validated through production usage.
  • We build pragmatic initial solutions, validate with customers, then invest in scaling when data justifies it.
  • Technical decisions are made through working prototypes and code.
  • Success is measured by customer impact and business results, not activity metrics or feature counts.
  • When issues occur, we examine our own decisions and actions. We conduct blameless post-mortems focused on systemic improvement.
  • We communicate directly about technical constraints, trade-offs, and uncertainties.
  • Realistic commitments: We provide honest estimates and deliver on our commitments.
