Sr. Financial Analyst

JOB TITLE:	Senior Financial Analyst

JOB FUNCTIONS

 

As Senior Financial Analyst, FPA, you will be accountable for presenting timely and accurate financial reports and performance analytics to senior leadership at Service Experts. In this position, you will interact with various leaders in the organization to ‘tell the story’ based on a thorough understanding of key business drivers and support numerous expansionary projects and adhoc requests.  This is a great opportunity for ambitious individuals who don’t settle on the norm and are always pushing the boundaries in a fast-paced and growing business environment.  

 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Provide senior management and departments heads with business reasons for financial variances during the Management Business Review (MBR) and as requested.
• Seen as a reliable business partner who creates a shared understanding of key performance drivers and linkage to financial results. Prepare and present financial reports accurately reflecting monthly results.
• Exhibits strong business acumen during monthly close and management review discussions.
• Track and identify expenses by department and initiate corrective measures to ensure accurate monthly reporting.
• Assist management with ad hoc projects, financial modelling, forecasting and various growth initiatives.
• Assist Senior Manager and liaise with department managers in the Annual Budgeting Process.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 4 years of related experience required
• Experience with Microsoft Applications (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
• Experience with PowerPivot, Power BI, VBA Macros etc.
• Experience using Workday Adaptive Planning Software would be a plus 

 

Must also have the following demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Experience with complex financial modelling and strong Excel acumen
• Ability to source all the necessary tools and knowledge to accomplish the task.
• A personal style that is viewed as collaborative, resourceful, inquisitive and takes initiative.
• Experience working with all levels of management and providing strong financial expertise and demonstrate strategic thinking.
• Strong experience with SAP, Hyperion Essbase/Smartview necessary
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written – demonstrate confidence.
• Intellectual agility is required due to the fast pace and changing environment.
