What will you be doing?

  • Lead and develop Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, Calibration, and Controls teams to ensure operational excellence.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance productivity, quality, safety, and cost performance.
  • Apply lean principles and data-driven decision-making to improve processes.
  • Manage and implement large-scale projects that deliver efficiency and cost savings.
  • Partner with multifunctional teams to deliver impactful outcomes.
  • Build and maintain a culture of continuous improvement and lean transformation.
  • Ensure compliance with Safety, GMP, FDA Quality System Regulation, ISO, and AATB standards.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical or managerial position.
  • Proven large-scale project management experience.
  • Experience in Bio-tissue or Pharmaceutical operations preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Systems and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $129,750 - $194,500 USD annually. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate. In addition to base pay, we provide competitive bonus and benefits, which include medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401k, tuition reimbursement, medical leave programs, parental leave, and generous PTO, paid company holidays annually and 8 hours of Volunteer time and a variety of wellness offerings such as EAP.
