Sr. Director, Marketing and Communications

Department:

Fisher College | Office of the Dean-Interim

Serves as a member of the Fisher College of Business Executive Leadership team and collaborates with Fisher’s Chief of Staff to provide senior leadership and strategic direction for college’s Office of Marketing and Communications. Responsible for elevating the college's reputation and supporting revenue generation through brand development and management, marketing strategy and implementation, communications and PR, and creative development and production.. Aligns budget and staff resources to best leverage opportunities to position Fisher College of Business as a leading business school. Partners with internal stakeholders across the college (including advisory boards, academic departments, academic programs, advancement, program offices, and business partnerships) to collaborate on strategies to achieve college goals. Strategizes and supports communication and marketing execution for the Office of the Dean and college strategic initiatives. Serves as the Office of Marketing and Communications’ point of contact for college-level projects and initiatives. Facilitates relationships with university marketing, communications, and advancement staff to effectively align Fisher with university initiatives. Leads and serves on college strategy teams and cross-functional workgroups as requested.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 10 years demonstrated experience leadership in marketing and communications. Extensive experience in brand, marketing, and communications strategic planning and implementation across platforms and mediums. Strong business acumen, demonstrated ability to contribute to the strategic planning of an organization’s marketing plan. Broad understanding of the suite of tools associated with strategic communications and marketing initiatives, experience with public and media relations, professional experience in development communications, with additional experience in marketing, strategic communications, branding, account service/client service, project management, writing/editing. Proven ability to deliver projects that achieve strategic objectives, on-time and on-budget in a dynamic, high-visibility environment.

Desired Qualifications:

Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 15 years demonstrated experience leadership in marketing and communications. Experience working in a University setting.

Additional Information:

The target hiring range for this job profile is $129,500 – $169,250. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
