The KLA Global Workplace Services (GWS) team is passionate about enabling the business goals and company culture through the delivery of workplace environments and services that foster teamwork, innovation and productivity. Our team runs a worldwide portfolio of over 3 million square feet, 135 sites and over 12,000 employees. In addition to ensuring the workspace and manufacturing facilities operate seamlessly, this group also provides employee and site services, such as cafeteria, transportation, security, and safety. The team is responsible for all construction and site improvement work to enable the business needs as well as align with the financial requirements.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

The Sr. Project Manager will exercise independent judgement in planning, design and construction of renovation and improvement projects of all scopes and sizes. Incumbents are responsible for budget and schedule tracking, design management, and/or project administration. Workload and count will vary based on project complexity, but generally this position will manage ~ 12-20 projects concurrently and adjusted to meet organizational requirements.

Work includes the necessary processes and procedures to develop and manage the execution of Facility Modifications. Facility Modification (FM) projects include but are not limited to minor construction, tenant improvements, system and infrastructure renewal, and equipment replacement.

This position, under general direction, exercises judgment and discretion and is responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects. The Sr. Project Manager is well versed in risk management techniques. Assignments will have high visibility, require extensive project management skills and often require specific technical disciplines and expertise.

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison to coordinate communication between both internal and external members on the project including, but not limited to: General Contractors, Subcontractors, Superintendents, General Foremen, and Union Officials

  • Provide directions to planning, scheduling, and engineering functions

  • Participate in estimating projects and writing bid proposals

  • Ensure that all company client and project policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to and interpret the policies

  • Provide directions to planning, scheduling, and engineering functions

  • Determines that project objectives are achievable

  • Provides guidance to engineering on producing complex risk and alternative analyses, studies and conceptual designs for presentation to project sponsor

  • Negotiates third party contracts, in support of other departments when appropriate

  • Develops and champions company-wide best practices

  • Develop presentations to stakeholders as appropriate

  • Arbitrates and resolves conflicts within the project

  • Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced project managers
     




 

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or its equivalent in education and experience

    • Minimum 10 years of experience tailored preferably in the areas of building electrical, mechanical or structural engineering

    • Minimum eight (8) years of experience in project management, project controls, engineering, and/or construction

    • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a Facilities Project Management role 

    • Strong listening and analytical skills necessary to resolve intricate staffing issues

    • Strong communication and presentation skills with key stakeholders

    • Strong interpersonal traits including confidence, responsiveness, flexibility, initiative, decision making, conflict resolution, and tact

    • Ability to work independently and as a team member

    • Extensive interaction with all levels of personnel and can work well under pressure

    • Ability to work with confidential information

    • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Teams and AutoCAD

    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desired

    Base Pay Range: $137,000.00 - $232,900.00 Annually

    Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA
