Brown & Brown is seeking Sr. Claims Examiner to join our growing team in Garden City, NY! 

The Sr. Claims Examiner position will be responsible for the adjustment of all litigation losses.

How You Will Contribute: 

Investigate, evaluate, and bring to disposition all nonsuit and litigation claims
Assure the proper reserving of all losses
Participate in recognized safety and marketing programs
Assign and manage the activities of independent adjusters and other vendors
Work effectively with clients, brokers, attorneys, and internal departments
Identify subrogation and risk transfer potential
Inspect losses and loss sites as necessary
Reinsurance reporting
Prepare comprehensive claim correspondence, including coverage position communications
Attend training classes and/or secure professional designations

Licenses & Certifications:

Valid driver’s license

Skills & Experience to be Successful:

Bachelor’s degree or life experience
Five years of experience in handling general liability claims
General Adjuster’s license in designated Home-State and able to be licensed in other States
Good telephone demeanor
Proficient use of a PC
Occasional travel

Pay Range

$85k - $100k Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
