Within Corporate Operations, the Finance Applications team designs, implements, and optimizes the systems that power Zuora’s Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Legal, and Human Resources functions. Reporting to the Senior Business Systems Manager of Digital Workplace Experience, this team works closely with system analysts, administrators, project managers, data architects, and developers to deliver robust, scalable business solutions.

The Sr. Business Systems Analyst – Technical is a key technical expert responsible for supporting system integrations and development across G&A business systems. This role functions as both a Business Systems Developer specializing in Finance platforms such as NetSuite and a cross-functional integration specialist, ensuring seamless data flow, automation, and scalability.

As a member of the IT organization supporting G&A functions, the Sr. Business Systems Analyst - Technical collaborates with Finance, HR, and Legal teams to integrate and enhance business systems, driving efficiency, automation, and reliability in alignment with strategic goals

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

As the Sr. Business Systems Analyst - Technical, you will play a vital role in the development and integration of Finance, HR, and Legal systems. Combining your expertise as a core ERP developer and integration specialist, you’ll ensure seamless data flow, scalable automation, and system reliability. You’ll work closely with functional BSAs and development teams to prioritize initiatives, refine user stories, and deliver enhancements through agile sprints, while supporting testing and deployment activities. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead integration support across core Finance, HR, and Legal business systems, ensuring data consistency and process efficiency.
  • Act as a NetSuite Developer, building and maintaining scripts, workflows, and integrations using SuiteScript, RESTlets, SFTP, and API-based connections.
  • Develop and maintain custom solutions across platforms such as NetSuite, Coupa, and other enterprise applications to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Collaborate with functional BSAs and business stakeholders to design, test, and deploy enhancements that align with operational goals and best practices.
  • Support cross-platform data flows, troubleshoot integration issues, and implement scalable solutions to maintain system reliability.
  • Ensure documentation, configuration standards, and SOPs are up to date and compliant with internal controls.
  • Partner with IT, Security, and cross-functional teams to ensure secure, efficient, and sustainable integrations across systems.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Deliver Seamless System Integrations: Ensure Finance, HR, and Legal applications communicate effectively by implementing secure, stable, and automated data connections across NetSuite, Coupa, and other platforms.
  • Enhance Core Financial Workflows: Improve efficiency in processes such as Treasury Accounting, Procurement, and Month-End Close through scalable integration and system enhancements.
  • Advance Automation & Data Reliability: Develop solutions that strengthen data accuracy, eliminate manual work, and increase system reliability across end-to-end business workflows.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Partner with functional BSAs and cross-functional teams to identify optimization opportunities, refine user stories, and deliver impactful enhancements through agile sprints.
  • Promote Secure & Compliant Operations: Collaborate with IT and Security teams to uphold data protection, access controls, and audit compliance across integrations and financial systems.
  • Establish Sustainable System Practices: Maintain clear documentation, SOPs, and configuration standards to ensure long-term scalability and consistent operational excellence.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in NetSuite development and administration, including SuiteScript (1.0/2.x), SuiteFlow, and SuiteTalk.
  • 8+ years of experience and Proficiency in system integrations, including SFTP, API, REST, and web services.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; able to work across technical and functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of Finance processes including General Ledger, P2P, Q2C, and Reporting with the ability to translate functional needs into technical solutions.
  • Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills with a keen eye for process improvement and quality assurance
  • Experience with Coupa, Workday, Navan, or other connected systems is a plus
  • Knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, and regulatory compliance requirements, including IT controls, SOX, SDLC, and change management
