Who You’ll Work With

The Product Delivery team, part of the Product Management department, interacts with multiple business functions, including Product Development, Product Pricing, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, IT, and Operations, and provides support and expertise in the launch of annuity product and strategic initiatives for the Individual Retirement business unit. This role will report to the Sr. Director under the Product Delivery Team.

About the Role

This position primarily provides technical oversight and analytical support of product-related project initiatives for the Individual Retirement Fixed, Index and Variable Annuity product lines.  The Product Delivery team is accountable for managing the implementation of all new product development initiatives and the ongoing management of our in-force book of business. Additionally, this team provides technical support to the entire Product Management department and is essential to the success of Individual Retirement product development and IT modernization efforts. The person in this role will have substantial opportunities to gain experience within the product organization, leverage and develop existing skills, learn new skills, and train with a best-in-class Product team.  

Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with the project team and IT to scope and document complex business systems requirements related to new and in-force product initiatives, and managing approval of IT documentation to ensure requirements are documented accurately and test plans are developed accordingly
  • Working with IT Business Analysts to evaluate recommended solutions for the most efficient and cost-effective system design; working with QA and UAT teams to ensure robust test plans are created and executed
  • Supporting the resolution of systems issues impacting annuity products
  • Providing support on multiple projects, with key emphasis on the technical components
  • Ownership of initiatives to support product-related user interface tools, including development of new tools and enhancements to existing tools
  • Willingness to become a team leader in the future
  • Carrying out other tasks as required to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective support and implementation of new initiatives or other projects supporting the sales, distribution and ongoing management of the company’s products

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of progressive business analysis experience, including development of business requirements and systems solutions, familiarity with annuity administrative systems (e.g. Navisys, OASys), and cross-functional knowledge of integrated systems
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into well-defined business requirements with exceptional writing skills to convey ideas clearly, using established guidelines and formats
  • Extensive knowledge of business analysis techniques and requirements tools; experience with the development of effective test plans and use case methodology
  • Self-starter with leadership skills who can take charge of or facilitate requirements gathering sessions
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships with peers within and across organizational lines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – ability to understand and articulate impacts of simple to moderately complex concepts
  • Ability to visualize and/or contribute to the presentation of an idea or process (from concept and design to presentation)
  • Results rather than task orientation with a proven track record in completing assigned tasks and projects
  • Quick learner who is easily able to learn new products, systems, applications and technologies
  • Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines
  • Extremely detail oriented with impeccable organizational and follow-up skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or related work equivalent experience in business analytics, information technology, business administration, marketing, finance, or related field
  • Insurance/Financial Services industry knowledge and annuity (Fixed, Index, RILA, and/or Variable) experience preferred
  • Exposure to Agile Project Management methodology desired

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $85,000 - $107,000 at the commencement of employment.  Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications. In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.

Work Location

This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s Houston, TX or Woodland Hills, CA office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
