Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure infrastructure components such as Virtual Machines, networking (VNets, subnets, load balancers), and storage, following best practices.
- Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) efforts using Terraform or similar tools for routine provisioning tasks.
- Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or Jenkins for application and infrastructure deployments.
- Write and maintain scripts (Bash, PowerShell, or Python) to automate routine system administration tasks.
- Participate in the deployment and management of containers using Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Monitor infrastructure health and performance using tools like Azure Monitor and Log Analytics and respond to alerts or incidents as needed.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex issues.
- Support security and compliance efforts by following established guidelines and processes.
- Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for team use.
- Stay current with evolving Azure and infrastructure technologies and participate in internal training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, preferably with Azure.
Required Skills
- Solid hands-on experience working with Azure cloud services (VMs, networking, storage).
- Proficient in basic Linux system administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, or similar).
- Experience writing scripts in Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automation.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
- Exposure to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS).
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience working with Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or similar).
- Knowledge of security fundamentals (RBAC, certificates, basic compliance).
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Relevant Azure certification (e.g., Azure Administrator (AZ-104)).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with on-premises to cloud migration projects.
- Exposure to additional monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Basic understanding of Windows Server administration.
