About the Role:

The Sr. Analyst, Commercial Strategy is a high-visibility role built for a “builder” who can bridge high-level strategy and disciplined execution. This individual will act as a force multiplier for the Commercial Strategy team, identifying untapped growth opportunities and ensuring those opportunities are realized through rigorous program ownership.

This role requires a rare blend of field intuition and executive rigor. You will move fluidly between analyzing market data, spending time in the field to uncover emerging trends, and presenting actionable insights to senior leadership. It is a premier track for exposure to business scaling, M&A integration, and enterprise governance.

What You’ll Do:

  • Executive Communication & M&A Strategy
    • Build high-impact, decision-ready materials for senior leadership by distilling complex data into clear, actionable insights.
    • Support commercial due diligence and post-close integration to ensure rapid value capture from acquisitions.
    • Present regularly to senior stakeholders, providing transparency into initiative performance and market dynamics.
  • Opportunity Identification & Field Strategy
    • Spend time in the field (retail, wholesale, competitive landscape) to identify opportunities not visible in traditional reporting.
    • Translate field insights and market data into actionable growth initiatives across retail, wholesale, and product.
  • Accountability & Program Governance
    • Define roadmaps, milestones, and KPIs for commercial strategic initiatives across channels (retail & wholesale); track progress and drive execution.
    • Lead without authority while holding stakeholders accountable and ensuring alignment across teams.
    • Act as the connective tissue across functions to prevent strategic initiatives from stalling.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years in Management Consulting, Corporate Strategy, Investment Banking, or Strategic Operations (CPG, Beverage, Retail preferred).
  • Proven ability to drive outcomes in ambiguous environments and lead without direct authority.
  • Strong financial modeling and data visualization skills; ability to translate complex data into executive-ready insights.
  • Comfort engaging with senior leaders and navigating cross-functional dynamics.
  • Equally effective in-store, in-market, and in the boardroom.
  • Travel: Up to 25%; on-site presence in Stamford, CT or Wakefield, MA.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in Management Consulting or Advisory (e.g., Bain, McKinsey, Deloitte, KPMG), with experience in M&A, transactions, or strategy & operations.
  • Experience in Corporate Strategy, Business Operations, or Internal Consulting roles within large or complex organizations (e.g., telecom, financial services, research/consulting firms).
  • Prior experience in Investment Banking or similar transaction-heavy roles, with strong financial modeling and deal exposure.
  • Experience in CPG, Beverage, or Retail environments, particularly in Revenue Growth Management, Commercial Planning, Sales Strategy, or Category Management.
  • Track record in high-growth or private equity-backed companies, driving cross-functional initiatives and scaling commercial operations.
  • Exposure to pricing strategy, promotions, assortment planning, or go-to-market execution.
  • Experience working across both field environments (retail/wholesale) and corporate settings, with the ability to translate on-the-ground insights into strategic action
