Job Highlights:
- Oversees daily operations of the hospital gift shop, which is staffed by volunteers
- Manages volunteer scheduling to ensure coverage during business hours (9:00am–4:00pm, Monday–Friday; occasional weekends)
- Provides operational support to volunteers and maintains strong customer service standards
- Handles financial and administrative duties, including reporting, budgeting support, and vendor coordination
- Uses Excel and Microsoft Office regularly; experience with SAP, VIM, and Volgistics preferred
- Attends buying shows and selects merchandise for staff, patients, visitors, and physicians

Coordinator operation of gift shop including inventory control, staff scheduling and performance, and monitoring of cash control systems.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads shift operations.
- Trains and provides direction to staff.
- Maintains and controls inventory and ensures vendor responsiveness to damaged goods, etc.
- May monitor cash register reconciliation and deposits.
- Assist customers in the gift shop and at the register.
- Ensures gift shop remains clean, tidy, and stocked. Coordinates the display of merchandise.
- Schedules staff appropriately and monitors attendance/tardiness.
- Responsible for processing payroll deductions and getting to payroll department in a timely manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
EXPERIENCE
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Rare climbing.
