Sponsorship Activation Coordinator, WBC (Seasonal)

The World Baseball Classic Sponsorship Coordinator will support the execution and management of global sponsorships tied to the World Baseball Classic (WBC). This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive, and organized professional with a passion for sports, global events, and partnership management.

The coordinator will assist in the day-to-day management of WBC sponsorships and activations across digital, social, broadcast, and on-site platforms, while also supporting key administrative functions for the WBC Sponsorship team. While full bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred, it is not required.

This will be a contracted role from January 2026, through April 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partnership Support & Activation
    • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of sponsorship activations across WBC event venues, digital channels, and broadcast integrations.
    • Support on-site activations including hospitality, community events, product integrations, and content shoots.
    • Coordinate logistics related to international events; select travel may be required.
  • Client & Partner Management
    • Support ongoing partner relationships, helping ensure delivery of contractual assets and fulfillment of obligations.
    • Assist in onboarding new partners, including coordinating partnership announcements, managing access to MLB/WBCI systems, and facilitating introductions to internal teams.
    • Help organize and participate in client and agency meetings, ensuring accurate follow-up and documentation.
  • Internal Coordination
    • Collaborate with internal MLB departments (Marketing, Special Events, Ballpark Operations, Community, and DE&I) to ensure successful partner integrations.
    • Maintain internal databases, tracking tools, and shared drives to keep team resources updated and accessible.
    • Review and route creative submissions for approval through MLB’s internal systems.
  • Reporting & Administration
    • Assist in creating partner recap decks, presentations, and reports.
    • Help track project timelines, event deliverables, and budgets.
    • Support administrative needs for the WBC Sponsorship team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of experience in sports marketing, sponsorship, event management, or related fields (internship or entry-level experience welcome).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and other Office applications.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Interest in international sports and cultural awareness.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency preferred but not required.
  • Availability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
