So let's talk about the role...

The Spirits Allocations Analyst is responsible for managing the fair, strategic, and compliant allocation of limited supply spirits (e.g., bourbon, tequila, scotch, specialty releases, etc) across customers, channels, or regions. This role balances data analysis, commercial strategy, supplier constraints, and customer equity to maximize revenue, margin, and long-term brand value.  The Spirits Allocations Analyst works cross functionally with Brand Management, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Suppliers to translate inventory constraints into actionable allocation plans.

Here's more of what you will do... (Okay, not all in one day!)

Product and Order Management

  • Collaborates with Product Management team for set up of all new allocation and single barrel allocated items.

  • Communicates with Sales and local supplier teams for distribution of single barrel items when received.

  • Manages entry of allocated orders in ERP system.

  • Allocation Planning and Execution (30%)

  • Manages allocation models for limited and highly allocated spirits SKUs.

  • Distributes product across: Accounts (On Premise, Off Premise, Chains and Independents), regions/territories and channels (retail, wholesale, e commerce).

  • Ensures allocations align with documented allocation methodologies, contractual obligations, brand strategy and regulatory compliance requirements.

Data Analysis and Forecasting

  • Analyzes historical sales, depletion trends, and customer performance.

  • Monitors inventory positions, inbound supply, and depletion rates.

  • Identifies risks (over allocation, stockouts, misalignment).

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partners with Sales leadership to understand account priorities.

  • Coordinates with Brand team and Supply Chain on supply availability and timing.

  • Supports Finance with allocation assumptions tied to revenue and margin forecasts.

  • Communicates allocation logic clearly to internal teams and external partners.

  • Allocation Governance and Controls (10%)

  • Maintains transparent, defensible allocation rules and documentation.

  • Supports audit and compliance requests (especially for highly scrutinized allocations).

  • Identifies and flags exceptions or special requests.

  • Ensures consistency across regions while allowing for strategic flexibility.

Reporting and Insights

  • Creates dashboards/reports and provide insights showing allocation vs. depletion, customer performance against allocation, inventory health and turns and allocation exception trends and root causes.

Here's what you must have to be considered for this role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Economic or Related Field

  • Two Plus Years FP&A, Commercial Finance, Sales Finance, Revenue Management, Demand Planning, Supply Planning or Similar Analytics Role

  • Experience with Inventory or Allocation Planning

  • Advanced MS Office (Excel) Experience; VLOOKUP, Advanced Formulas, External Data Connections, PowerPivot, PowerQuery, Macros

  • Must be Detail Oriented, Have Strong Analytical and Organizational Skills and Have the Ability to Work in a Fast-paced Work Environment

  • Good Understanding of the Sales Industry

  • Proven Technical Aptitude; Ability to Learn New Technologies and Acquire Technical Skills
