Position Summary & Highlights:

We are seeking a part-time Speech Therapist. As a Speech Language Pathologist at Saint Alphonsus Health System, you will provide speech therapy services to acute care, rehabilitation, and outpatients in compliance with policies and procedures established by the medical center and/or rehabilitation services department.  This includes quality care to individuals and families, participate in the planning implementation and evaluation of quality assurance programs.

What you will do:

Our ideal candidate assesses, plans, and implements specific speech therapy treatment programs for individual patients. Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team. Supervises work of support personnel.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current Speech Language Pathologist licensure or a provisional permit issued by the State of Idaho.

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.

  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at time of hire.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with swallowing disorders OR extensive dysphagia management experience within internship/externship program required.

  • Previous experience in Acute Care or Rehabilitation preferred

  • Active membership within ASHA preferred.
