The SEO Specialist will support tactical SEO initiatives with a focus on on-page optimizations and white-hat link building campaigns to improve organic rankings and backlink profiles for multiple websites.
This role will assist with keyword research, competitive analysis, conducting on-page audits, performance analysis, reporting, link building research and outreach, and other SEO tasks for multiple clients as needed. The specialist will also support technical SEO initiatives, including improving site navigation, crawlability, schema and other structured data, and other improvements as needed.
This person will enjoy working both autonomously and in a collaborative environment while showcasing excellent critical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be a data-driven team-player with a passion for SEO and previous experience implementing successful SEO and link building campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and analyze organic search performance for multiple sites to identify issues and opportunities
Perform website health checks using tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, and Google Search Console to identify and resolve crawl errors, monitor index coverage, and track page performance
Support SEO activities to improve keyword rankings and increase organic traffic for a variety of clients, including keyword research, performing on-page SEO audits, and recommending on-page optimizations
Develop and implement white-hat link building campaigns for multiple websites to improve their backlink profiles and organic rankings by earning high-quality links from relevant sites
Research and recommend websites to target for links based on relevancy and authority
Write personalized outreach emails and document link acquisitions to report on progress
Recommend improvements to internal linking, crawl sites to identify and address broken links while supporting and validating implementations
Conduct content audits to identify gaps and collaborate with the content team to develop linkable assets
Support the SEO team with user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality assurance (QA) tasks on staging and production environments
Assist with weekly, monthly, and quarterly SEO analysis and reporting
Stay updated on SEO trends and recommend improvements to SEO strategies accordingly
Hybrid Schedule: 3 days remote / 2 days in office
30-day notification period preferred
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree with a focus in Marketing, IT, or related discipline
3+ years of hands-on experience managing successful SEO and link building campaigns for multiple websites
Experience using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Looker Studio, and SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with MS Office including strong Excel skills
Excellent written communication and organizational skills; high-levels of accuracy, critical thinking, and attention to detail are essential
Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience using AI tools such as Gemini and ChatGPT to improve workflows and create efficiencies is a plus
Understanding of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) tactics to optimize content and sites for AI visibility is a plus
