Introduction 

The Nasdaq Trading organisation is expanding our technology center in Bengaluru (Bangalore). We are looking for a Senior QA Analyst to join our newly started Financial Trading system QA team. 
 

This is an opportunity to join the world’s leading exchange technology company and work with innovative technologies in an international environment where our clients include high profile organisations like Hong Kong Exchange, Singapore Exchange, Australian Securities Exchange, and Japan Exchange Group.

It is a new team so you will be part of building up the team from scratch, but you will also be part of an extensive network of QA people working with our Trading systems in various locations. 

Your role and responsibilities
 

As a QA Test Specialist, your focus will be developing and implementing software solutions. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bangalore, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.

  • Design, execute, and maintain integration and system-level test cases to validate end‑to‑end trading workflows across multiple interacting components and services.
  • Perform API and integration testing, identifying suitable scenarios for automation and ensuring coverage of critical business flows such as order management, trade lifecycle, and downstream processing.
  • Apply hands‑on test automation skills using one or more programming or scripting languages such as Java, Python, Shell, or similar, contributing actively to automated test suites and frameworks.
  • Analyze test results and use quality metrics (defect trends, test coverage, failure analysis) to assess product quality and help focus testing efforts on high‑risk and business‑critical areas.
  • Create, update, and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test data, execution reports, defect reports, and release sign‑off inputs.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts, Technical Account Managers (TAMs), developers, QA teams, and product teams to understand requirements, integration points, and dependencies, and to plan and execute the required testing activities.

We expect you to have

  • Relevant experience Level : 5-8yrs
  • Primary Skills : QA Test Specialist with strong expertise in Java-based test automation.
  • API testing, shell scripting, and both manual and automation testing.
  •  Experienced in validating complex financial systems across the trading lifecycle, including pre-trade risk checks, order execution, clearing, settlement, and financial products such as equities and derivatives.
  • Adept at building robust automated test suites, performing functional and integration testing, and ensuring system accuracy, stability, and regulatory compliance within high‑performance capital markets environments.

It would be great if you have

  • Log, track, and manage defects through their lifecycle, clearly articulating impact and priority, and collaborate with development teams to support timely investigation and resolution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including improving test approaches, increasing automation coverage, and enhancing test environments and data strategies.
  • Demonstrate the ability to  build effective working relationships with peers, business partners, and stakeholders across technology and business functions.
  • Experience working with financial systems, particularly trading, clearing, settlement, or related financial products, is a strong advantage but not mandatory.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain defects, risks, and test outcomes clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

  • Education Required:  Bachelor in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Experience Required:  At least 6 years
  • Special Qualifications:  Specialist certifications in QA/Testing methodology.
