Nasdaq Technology Calypso RnD Department is seeking a highly-motivated Business Analyst with experience in Post-Trade Processing, ETD Clearing Operations, ETD Margin and/or Collateral Management to assist in the developing of our Clearing Platform, to join the Mumbai technology center in India. As a Business Analyst, working as part of the Operations Clearing Product Team and work closely with the Engineering and QA Team. The role will also involve interactions with the client and other market participants to capture requirements within the FinTech industry.

With this position we offer

The main objective for the ETD Clearing Operation team in Mumbai is to enhance software solution as per current evolving Market requirements and standards and interact and connect with various CCPs and clients to enhance the solution and maintenance the existing functionalities are working. Together with your team, you will be responsible for delivery of enhancements and supporting re-architecture of the enterprise products and features to the existing and new software paradigms.

Your role and responsibilities:

You will work with various teams across the globe, delivering critical solutions and services to world-leading Market Infrastructure Operators and New Markets. You will be responsible for crucial Product  management activities and internal customer interaction, often working closely with Developer, QA, Product Support and User guide documentation team  building strong relations to present the requirements and maintain the user guides updated.

 In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a strong expert team delivering sophisticated solutions to international clients. You will work with and learn from subject matter experts, and have the opportunity to take on more responsibility and progress within the Product Management team.  Besides working closely with your colleagues in Mumbai, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.

Furthermore, you will: 

  • Articulate document with mockup design wherever it is required to present to Developer and QA for the implement in new  of new/existing CCP and client requirement on new/existing application software for clearing products and functions.

  • Need to know end to end ETD Clearing operations processing such as

    • Trade Give Up/Take Up/Allocation and Matching

    • Average Price trade

    • Block Trade allocation

    • Initial Margin calculation for various margin methodologies such as SPAN, PRISMA, IRM, JSCC, TIMS

    • Variation Margin calculation

    • Client and Reg Reporting

    • Corporate Action and Trade Lifecycle such as Exercise and Assignment, Expiry process.

    • Reconciling top day and T+1 trade, Trade by Open Quantity and Positions

    • Liquidation methodogy

  • Need to have basic capital market knowledge.

  • A good understanding of Settlement Processes and Financial Products in general

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills; Rigorous

  • Excellent soft/written communication skills

  • Product Management skills

  • Participate in technical design reviews, functional specification reviews, develop project estimates, schedules, test plans, and functional reviews.

  • Proactively identify the potential problems/issues and address to the Developer and QA and get it fixed.

  • Conduct performance testing, review results, identify bottlenecks.

We expect you to have

  • At least 5-8 years in ETD Clearing Operation profile

  • Experience in Futures/Options end to end Clearing including back office

  • Knowledge on Initial Margin and Variation Margin calculation and its impact in collateral management

  • Expertise in articulating the requirements and documenting the enhanced or changes in user guides.

  • Proficient understanding and analytical skill

  • Execute projects independently

It would be great if you

  • Knowledge of client and regulatory reporting

  • Self motivated to execute projects independently.
