Specialist pricing
Play a key role in supporting the pricing function initiatives.
The focus is to provide advice and support in the development and implementation of pricing activities, enabling the provision of new products and investment portfolio pricing structures.
Support analysis of pricing for banking products including:
Assist with margin analysis, Net Interest Margin (NIM), and fee income tracking.
Analyse the impact of rate changes, FTP, and funding costs on product profitability
Support in the pricing and structuring of loans across AR Business Banking.
Assist with the management of pricing inputs in determining pricing levels.
Support business decision-making by using financial data to provide pricing insights.
Support the development of models that aid the portfolio management function.
Support the facilitation of the optimization of value-aligned performance measures (risk adjusted return measures e.g. Return on Risk Weighted Assets, Return on Equity) based on the plans for the BUs.
Analyze the impact of upcoming regulation that has the potential to impact pricing.
Reporting & Data Support
Produce regular pricing and profitability reports for management
Monitor pricing performance versus targets, competitors, and market benchmarks
Validate pricing inputs and outputs across banking systems
Support Pricing committees and forums with pricing analytics, including peer benchmarking and market analysis to inform hurdle rate setting and pricing targets.
Run analytics using Excel and available tools such as, but not limited to, SQL and/or SAS and/or Python and/or Power BI to enhance analysis and preparation of pricing and portfolio insights.
Assist with the structuring activity across the Business Units.
Interrogate historic portfolio performance metrics
Provide sectoral heat maps and sectoral pricing strategies based on the current portfolio composition and economic outlook analysis.
Develop Key Risk Indicator (KRI) EC triggers for products and sectors.
Enable and support a culture of risk-based debt pricing across Business Banking.
Monitor alignment to pricing tools, policies, frameworks and principles across ABB sales force and related users of pricing tools.

Support Product, Finance and Sales teams with pricing insights
Respond to pricing queries and assist with deal‑level analysis
Escalate pricing risks, margin erosion, or anomalies.
Establish and manage relationships both internally and externally to enhance knowledge and skills.

Support adherence to pricing governance frameworks and approval processes
Assist with documentation of pricing assumptions and methodologies
Ensure pricing practices align with regulatory requirements (e.g. Treating Customers Fairly, affordability, conduct standards)
Process Improvement
Assist in improving pricing tools, templates, and dashboards
Supporting automation and standardization of pricing reports
Minimum Requirements
Education
Minimum qualification – Quantitative or Finance degrees e.g. Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Econometrics, Finance.
Preferred qualification – Honors, Masters, CFA/FRM/CA(SA)/CIMA or studying towards these qualifications.
Experience
2–3 years’ experience in banking, quantitative regulatory, financial modelling, pricing, or analytical roles
Graduate programmes, internships, or exposure to banking products advantageous
Technical Skills
Strong Excel skills (financial modelling, pivot tables, formulas)
Basic understanding of interest rates, margins, and financial concepts
Exposure to SAS, SQL, Python, Power BI, or similar tools (advantageous)
Ability to work with large datasets
