Junior Finance Associate

Position Overview

As a key member of the finance team, you will play an important role supporting the full scope of the department’s financial operations, including (but not limited to) the monthly financial statement close process, accounting and treasury operations, and external financial reporting.  We are looking for a team player who is highly collaborative and motivated to develop a broad technical skill set within the financial services industry.   The ideal candidate demonstrates ownership, a high degree of organization, reliability, accountability, and strong attention to detail. Success in this role means being proactive, positive, and eager to learn.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist with the month-end close process
  • Support financial operations across cash/accounts payable, revenue, prepaids, fixed assets, and  accrued expenses
  • Serve as the point person for revenue invoicing,  accounts receivable collections, maintaining the AP inbox and processing T&E reimbursements
  • Partner with team members to deliver high quality reporting that meets management, GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with external audit requests
  • Contribute to various special projects designed to enhance overall operational excellence
  • Proactively identify opportunities to optimize financial operations by leveraging technology

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting or Finance preferred
  • 0-2 years of experience; prior experience supporting a finance or accounting team is preferred 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and complete high-quality work under strict deadlines

Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000 USD Annually

The actual base salary may vary depending on factors, including, but not limited to location, work experience, education, training, skill level, and market conditions. At Pzena Investment Management, base salary is just one component of the total compensation, which may include, year-end discretionary bonus and employee benefits.
