Description
We are currently seeking a Paralegal (Specialist, Legal Support) to join the Corporate Legal organization in the Office of General Counsel to provide support for the Vice President, Corporate Legal.
Responsibilities
File and assist in preparing quarterly and annual reports with the SEC including Forms 10‑K, 10‑Q, 11‑K, 8‑K and SD - Conflict Minerals Disclosure. This includes working with various attorneys to obtain material legal proceedings and material contracts for the Forms 10-K and 10‑Q, as well as working with finance and accounting colleagues on these reports, working with Treasury to obtain updates to the Forms 11-K and working with Compliance to update the SD-Conflict Minerals Disclosure. Work with various attorneys and Accounting to complete a Contingent Liabilities Report on a quarterly basis. Respond to inquiries relating to quarterly and annual reports. Take on additional projects and responsibilities, as needed. Additional projects could potentially include shareholder services responsibilities.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
Review, draft and/or develop simple legal documents and communications, and contribute to the review and/or drafting of complex legal documents and communications
Independently handle legal and/or factual research as appropriate
Develop and/or support the development of initiatives to streamline processes and tools
Manage multiple priorities effectively and accurately, establish and maintain effective working relationships and independently prioritize workload, meet deadlines and work effectively and efficiently.
Complete intricate data and fact analysis and interpret results to fulfill business and legal needs
Determine advice on routine matters independently and respond to questions and inquiries involving moderately complex legal issues under direction of attorney as appropriate
Deliver concise legal documents and communications to internal business partners with support of attorney as appropriate
Operate with high degree of independence and discretion, including on highly sensitive and business critical matters.
Have proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and be able and willing to learn new technology and software applications (knowledge of Workiva ‘s wDesk software program is desired but not necessary)
Have excellent organization, communication skills (written and verbal), and attention to detail
Qualifications
Education:
High School degree required
Associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or Paralegal certificate preferred.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. The salary range for this role is
$87,300.00 - $137,400.00This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.
The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
