Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Spanish Linguist/Instructor at Hurlburt Field, FL to deliver cutting-edge global and cryptologic language training to military personnel. What You’ll Do
Provide global language, cryptologic, language, and cultural training to military forces and civilian personnel via traditional classroom instruction, written materials, technology-based instruction, and distributed learning services.
Develop and integrate new global and cryptologic training materials, curriculum, and courseware for approval of US Government.
Adapt instructional methods to meet student language proficiency goals, learning styles, and time constraints
Advise Language Manager and military representatives on assessment, placement, and training needs of students
Track student progression and reports effectiveness of training to Language Manager and military
What You Bring
Current TS/SCI clearance is required on day 1.
ILR Level 3 or higher in Spanish, and ILR Level 2+ in English (based on DLPT 4).
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Spanish, Applied Linguistics, or language teaching. (Additional experience can be considered in lieu of degree).
4+ years of related experience (or 8 years without a degree).
Minimum 3 years in translation and language services.
Minimum 1 year in language instruction—military cryptologic experience preferred.
Expert-level Spanish proficiency, including grammar, phonology, and linguistic functions.
Familiarity with the intelligence cycle: collection, processing, exploitation, dissemination, and ISR operations.
Instructional Systems Design experience is a plus.
